Frequently asked questions

I don’t always like sitting in an office, do you offer alternative therapy spaces?

Yes! Our office is located in a historic neighborhood in Greenville, SC and filled with mature trees and low foot traffic. It’s common that I walk with my clients during their therapy hour.

I also offer nature trail therapy. Research has proven how nature calms and restores the nervous system to its most healthy state. I can explain more about this process during a consultation.

Additionally, I provide family and individual therapy virtually across South Carolina. My HIPAA-compliant platform allows everyone to join from separate locations if needed.

Do I accept Insurance?

No, but I can provide a super bill. This would be a document that you submit to your insurance provider and they will tell you how much they can reimburse you for psychotherapy sessions.

How much do psychotherapy sessions cost?

55 minute psychotherapy session: $125

75 minute family therapy session: $150

90 minute assessment (your first session): $175

Do you only provide family therapy in south carolina?

Family therapy can be really helpful in certain situations—but it’s not always the starting point. I take time upfront to assess what makes the most sense for you and your family before we decide if it’s the right fit.

If you are seeking virtual therapy in South Carolina, we can still begin family therapy as my platform allows for all clients to join from separate locations.

what areas do I focus on as a psychotherapist?

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering therapy for individuals and families who want to strengthen their relationships and navigate life’s hardest conversations. My work is grounded in strategic family therapy, Satir family therapy, and structural family therapy, with additional training in mindfulness, yoga, motivational interviewing, trauma-sensitive care, and parent-teen relationship support.

I appreciate Virginia Satir, Chloe Madanes, and Dan Siegel's work, although you'll constantly find me listening to the Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) podcast episodes and reading on co-parenting, betrayal trauma, and family conflict resolution.

I tend to work best with people who are brave enough to say, “Okay, something needs to change,” especially when it comes to the relationships that matter most. You don’t need to bring your whole family in to get started—sometimes real change begins with just you. From there, we can figure out what kind of support makes the most sense.

At the end of the day, I care a lot about relationships—messy, meaningful, complicated ones included. At this point, I’ve heard it all, and you have nothing to be ashamed about with where your relationships or family have ended up. With me, all you have to do is show up to talk about these taboo, secret, or stressful topics, and I’ll be walking alongside you to find the clarity, steps, and hope (again).
